Dewi Sartika
Dewi Sartika is one of the national heroes in Indonesia. She fought for women's education when we were colonized by Netherlands. She was born at 4 December 1884, Cicalengka, Bandung and died at 11 September 1947, Cineam, Tasikmalaya, West Java. At 16 January 1904, she made a school that was named Sekolah Isteri at Pendopo, Bandung. At 1920, her school was built almost at every city at Java. At 1929, the schools names were changed to Raden Dewi. She was legally named as one of the national heroes at 1966. She was named as a national hero because she was one of the most important person to fight for women's emancipation.
